One of my best friends CE sent me these words of encouragement after a difficult breakup years ago. I still reflect on his wisdom today: "It's ok to go through bumps in life because it toughens you up and makes you a better person. Imagine yourself as a piece of iron sword being heated up and forged by a blacksmith. The more forging you get, the stronger you become. If you go through life without bumps, you'll end up being a spineless jellyfish; unable to face the realities, hardships and bumps of life.By going through pain and passing it, you will become a better person. You will be ever-ready to take life's uncertainties; no matter how good how bad it will be. When you enter a relationship you are taking a risk. The risk is having to suffer pain from a breakup. Pain comes with the territory of having a relationship. So don't think you are being punished. You are not. The pain is a natural process or by product. J, M & Z went through the same thing. Now they are fine. J has a girlfriend, M is married and Z is looking after his business. So, it's pointless to say, "Life has been good until now." How do you know you have reached the end? There are more chapters to be read in the the book of your life." ![]()
